we are not draining the bank of fossile "stored" solar energy slowly, but very fast compared to the time that was needed to build it up. Current storage of solar into fossile energy only happens on a small scale in moorland (peat).
The solar radiation that reaches the earth will be a multiple of what humans consume, but can't be converted into useful forms of energy easily.
