Northern CA | I have been trying to eat a little healthier and stay off the carbs. I really love jerky. I don't buy the gas station varieties, either. Making my own, I use flank steak cut with the grain, then lay the strips in a pan, seasoning each layer with:
A tiny splash of worcheshire sauce
Liquid Smoke
Fresh ground garlic salt
Fresh ground pepper
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Lawrey's Season Salt
Let sit overnight or more, then about 5 hours on smoke on the Traeger. I really like it, but would like a little variety. Other ideas?
