Was the flooring guy paid by the hour or was he paid to install a floor on a level surface? Big difference here, most places just pay him to install and not fix your un even sub floor. That's on you. If you already knew you had an uneven floor in your house, you should have told them before you hired them, thus allowing more money and time to fix the problem.
Look bucko, no one is asking for belligerent comments...And besides (as I said before)...with carpet and a pad down its almost impossible to tell the
location and severity of any floor unevenness...The business I bought the laminate from included a bag of leveling compound..just in case. The installer
did an ok job but should have used the compound...I cut him some slack here...Wanted him done and gone...like all the worthless drunks and just
plane out lazy 'employees' that came with the other jobs...duct cleaners..hvac..floor installers. In this area, if you don't have a job with an
aerospace outfit, your choices are few and far between. |
