Southwest Iowa
You might want to wait until your daughter is enrolled. We just took our son to Ames (Iowa State) for orientation in engineering. Turns out several of the colleges have suggestions on how much computing power you will need and even have them available at a significant discount to what you can buy online. I know engineering computers likely need more than the average, but we checked what they recommended against buying direct. Buying at the bookstore was almost $500 less than direct purchase.

Another benefit of buying at the bookstore I didn’t even think of is no sales tax for students. Might want to see if any of the schools she is considering has the same thing. Just a couple of ideas from our recent visit.
