| Hi Don, another pound down, great job, closing in on that 30 pounds lost. Bet by next week you will be there. As for being 59 and the cost of insurance, just wait till you hit the 60's. So thankful I married older as both Dave and I weren't in that 60 to 65 age range at the same time. He has been on medicare and supplement now and I have one more year of costly insurance. Just for me it runs over a grand a month with a $5000 deductible. There has been some things that I think I should have addressed, but I figured I can wait it out until I am on medicare. As for retiring and traveling, one thing we have found out is people where we go can actually live on their SS and still have fun. We see all kinds in our park, from million dollar rigs, to ones that cost a few thousand. Dave's sister found a 5th wheel for $3300 and did some remodeling on it and it was just fine for them for a couple years. Next they found a bigger trailer that had some hail damage (can hardly see it) and it is really nice and they didn't spend that much on it. So do your research and you will find something that you will want to do. Have a good week. | |
