Last night,on channel 2 news, they advised anybody with a router, to unplug it,
and reset your passwords. Said there was a nation wide hack on routers.
Anybody else hear that ? Do I have my facts strait ?
Is this something we should do ?

Rebooting (unplugging and repowering) is part of the process being recommended for ALL routers. Additionally, if you have one of the router models below, it's recommended to do a factory reset per the manufacturer's instructions, and then contact the manufacturer for additional mitigation steps specific to your router model.
