Subject: R85 MacDon wind rower with 4250 Deere

Montana
My 4250 deere has power shift and I may try a pull type windrower. I like the idea of the R85 Mac Don wind rower. If I buy a pull type and decide I want self propelled later, can I put the R85 header on a Mac Don 200 or 205?

My 4250 seems very powerful and I think it would provide enough power. If not, I have a 4850 that could but I would need to pull the outside duals.

I think the power shift to keep the RPM just right and control forward speed, would be great but I want to know what some others have experienced.

If a person is going to use a pull type windrower, I would like suggestions about what others like and why. I would like to stay at least 16 feet wide.
