I can't speak for the pp but in the Dakota we have ground that actually needs to be in CRP or grass. Due to light soils, alkaline, sodic, gravel, etc etc. I hear of guys in other areas breaking out CRP fields and raise 200bu corn and I just shake my head.. Why was that ground ever accepted into CRP in the first place.
