Subject: RE: boron on wheat

Bill the farmer - 5/23/2018 04:19 My tissue tests said the SRW wheat is short on boron. I took the sample just as the flag leaf was coming out. Would applying boron with the fungicide at flowering time help any?

Nope.  Foliar application of B onto wheat doesn't translocate.  Lloyd Murdock at U.Ky proved this.  Would need to get the B onto the soil, and have moisture move it to the roots to do any good.  And this would need to happen before bloom.
