Macomb, IL | Determined it was likely herbicide damage from the keystone applied. Several in the area replanted 200-800 acres of corn due to the same issues from Harness Extra. Blaming it on the cold nights (down to 32) 2 days prior to planting and high fluctuations in soil temp for the dates of planting. I have buggy whipped corn that leafed out underground emerging now, time will tell if they’ll make it. One farmer left a test strip of buggy whipped corn that he replanted and most have come out of it. We got .6 of rain two days ago and the corn looks much better now. Lost maybe 1-3000 per acre with some smaller areas higher. | |
