WC Mn/Dakotas
How widespread and uniform or localized, irregular, or fading depends on a numbers of things. The strength of the inversion, amount of fines/volitalization, sensity of susceptible plants to name a few.

In my experience ive seen direct drift go a few feet and stop, fade away, or cover a better part of a quarter. Ive seen inversions type drift do more blanket uniform on flat ground or follow contours in rolling ground for a 1/2 mile easily and some times 2-6 miles.
