Subject: 2-4DB safe for newly emerged clover?

Owensville, MO
Trying to get some clover foodplots established on the in-laws hunting ground. Got some that I broadcast late winter that has been emerged for nearly 3-4 weeks but still only a half to 1 inch tall. broadleaves are coming on strong, growing way faster than the clover so I'd like to knock them back. 2-4DB is labeled as safe for clover but not sure about clover that is so small. Appreciate any advise. Ladino and durana clover by the way.
For a guy that makes his living growing plants I sure have a lot of trouble getting clover to grow. I've tried about every way imaginable and if I had to make a living off clover I would be one broke SOB!

thanks

Joe
