CIL | I’ll put to you my own theory about using no residual post. Sure there are years you may not need it, but the years that you do will make up for that. You only get one chance to get it right, there’s no do overs. If you can afford 10oz outlook post, do it. It only takes 1/4 of rain to activate it. If you can’t swing outlook, a pint to 1.3 of dual with a 3/4 rain would work too.
We’re doing rr, xtends and Liberty beans this year. All are getting 10 oz of outlook post. I have 50% of necessary chemicals (minus dicamba) on hand for early post passes on all fields. Most will be used this week on an early post pass on field edges and other trouble spots. Then all fields will get hit the following week with another shot plus the residual. Weeds come at different rates in different areas, gps and mapping has helped us immensely. | |
