Mount Vernon, WA | Recently there was a question about SCV flow rates. Original post is here: https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=783341&posts=1...
I was just surfing through JD Service Advisor on a related issue, and stumbled upon the following interesting info related to the question above: "8R series tractors with high flow hydraulics use two pumps to provide a total flow of 321 L/min (85 gal/min). An 85 cm3pump and 35 cm3pump combine to produce the total flow output. The 3/4 in high flow SCV provides a maximum flow rate of 153 L/min (40.5 gal/min). The maximum flow rate from the standard SCVs is 132 L/min (35 gal/min) at each coupler."
I was quite surprised to see that they consider a single "standard" SCV good for 35 GPM. There would have to be some serious backpressure going on there through conventional 1/2" body size tips, at least I would think. | |
