West KY | Had a thread about John Deere’s Seedstar 4 data file sizes last week and several commented on how large the data files are. I’m unloading a PP Gen 3 and it’s hard to believe the sizes of the files coming off some of these fields. I’m all for high definition data, but how are desktop programs like SMS handling this much data? I know it is not doing Seedstar 4 data very well. Concerned about how it will handle this precision data.
I unloaded 4 monitors earlier today that planted a total of 2500 acres and it took up about as much room as 250 acres on the Gen 3.
