Subject: Rye burndown

I'll be planting some conventional corn into a big cover crop of triticale, hairy vetch and winter peas. I was planning to use a quart of gramoxone and a pint of cinch ATZ on the first pass in 20 gallons of 28%. Then on the second use either laudis, realm q or steadfast q. I've been thinking about switching to just the gramoxone on the first pass, then mixing the cinch ATZ plus Callisto around v3 for the second pass. Using Callisto on the second pass instead of the other three options would save some money on herbicide, but will I get a good kill with gramoxone alone? We've never had an issue killing cover crops with it, but it's always been mixed with atrazine. Also, will the atrazine burndown newly emerged grasses on the second pass? I don't believe Callisto has much activity on grasses. Foxtail and lambsquarters are the primary weeds I have on the second pass. Also tend to have some canada thistle here and there.
