Subject: 1790 Deere Planter Seedstar2 on a GS2 1800

I have an ISO/NMEA harness from AgExpress that runs the 1800, there is an implement connector at the hitch which the planter is plugged into and there is a serial RS232 NMEA adapter running to a Trimble Nav II for GPS. On the 1800 I get 3D corrected RTK from the Nav II. I have the "JD Original Display" coming up on the 1800 and I am able to make changes to the planter configurations.

When we try and run the planter we get an error stating the planter has speed but the tractor does not. I made sure in the Performance settings on the 1800 that the box about using GPS speed as radar is checked. I did try to search on Deere's site to find something about this and there appears to be an update about Seedstar2 planters not receiving GPS radar signals. We have not yet set up the GS2 layouts for the planter, would this make a difference? I was told by AgExpress that this configuration should work.

Somebody out there must have done this :) ???
