The Aim Command auto/manual switch has nothing to do with rate, all it controls is the pressure. In auto it automatically controls the pressure to what you set it to, in manual it just send a preset PWM to the pump based on what you set using the +- switch. The rate is controlled by the master module by pulsing the nozzles longer or shorter depending on what is required.

If you are not able to control the pressure in auto it may be the pressure module or more likely the pressure sender on the left of the modules in the back.

Check your settings in the Toolbox>control tab. Should have control set as Aim Command/inline servo. Make sure you press the master button on the screen before you spray.
