We did a small test strip of no till beans this year. The combine really growled with all the stalks, had to drop from 3.2 to 2.8 or so. Is this usual? We had a very dry summer, so I'm wondering if the lack of moisture slowed down the decomposition (?) of the stalks. Would it work to go in after plating with a roller type implement and squash all the stalks down then?
