I think it's an issue of cosmetics. There's more loss from shattering or critters than will ever be from an occassional stray bean plant. We had 8" space planted at a slight angle to the rows and only had trouble where it was a little tough. Last Sunday it was 80 and breezy and it was shaved perfectly. Used a new 1020 platform 3" cut with an AWS wind system.
