Subject: Notill bean questions

IL
I cut a field of notill beans for a neighbor today, and came up with more questions.
One thing is for sure, notill really helped the yields. +10 anyway. There was one problem I had tho harvesting....sometimes a corn stalk would lean the bean plant over, and I couldn't cut it. This was planted with a Kinze Twinline 15" rows, following the corn rows, so the stalks weren't run over. I cut at an angle, and I think it helped some. He has what we call a Waffle Cutter that he ran over some other stalks to cut them up. It is just an old JD disk, gangs straightened, with notill coulters, worked great this year. But... how are you guys handling the notill bean harvesting dilema of getting all the beans cut off?

This year I am trying out a neighbor's Aerway on some stalks and wheat stubble. I think the Waffle Cutter is the way to go if it is very dry, but am affraid of the mat of stalks if it becomes wet.
Many questions keep coming up as I am a "new convert"
