| For the benefit of others with helpful ideas - this error-prone unit is a multi-color, printer/scanner/fax unit.
Printer manufacturers are getting smarter in regards to getting you to buy their toners and ink cartridges. Recent firmware updates for many printers require users to buy OEM refills vs. "will-fit" el-cheapo cartridges.
My suspicion is the cartridge may need a shake. Toner during shipment can "pack" and not flow freely. Remove the toner cartridges and shake them like a bartender mixing a fruity cocktail - with vigor and for 15-20 seconds. Re-install and double-check the seating of the cartridge in the unit. And of course, the ultimate fix, turn-off and reboot BOTH the computer and printer unit.
