| Pretty good advice from Paul, here.
iPads do have most of the downsides of a laptop (disposable, limited battery life, more expensive for the performance you get) but I have a desktop I use that I built when GW was in office, a more expensive laptop I don't use, and an iPad that gets used daily.
+1 on the i5 processors for a laptop. UNLESS, great big disclaiming UNLESS, all she is going to do on it is the listed activities and then the i3 would be acceptable (same goes for the 'pad, too. She wants to do more get a laptop). | |
