Newfane NY | Here I am seeing much more vol. corn in all farmers fields than I have ever seen. I believe one reason is we are all pushing the population. We are at 30 to 32,000 this year and when I walk my fields before harvest I see problems in the making. When I find a spot that is short on population I find great stalks and bigger ears. I believe "here" we need to cut back on the population and maybe give up a few bushel of yield to get a better stalk. Thoughts? John | |
