30" 130K
15" 145K
7.5" 160K

Matching seed size for population is probably even more critical. Some had very even seed size, some did not.

We had our highest yields with a final stand under 100K. We also recorded some of our lowest yields there so there is a lot that goes into play but high populations only reduced weed competition in our plot, did not always produce the most beans.

Whenever you try something like this make one change at a time and see what happens. If you throw in too many variables it is difficult to figure out what did what.
