I've heard a lot of farmer/ranchers in eastern Montana and western North Dakota will be planting annual hay crops on some of their hrsw acres to try and replenish depleted hay stockpiles. Probably will be some of the same in South Dakota as well. I think there will be a lot of millet and sorghum planted for hay since they can be sowed in June and still make a decent crop.
