Central Alberta | Fair bit of it going on in western Canada too. Lots of older folks retiring in a couple of years as well as younger producers who are near broke. All of these deals are looking for a sucker as land prices are declining in a lot of these areas as recent auctions will attest too so need to get deals done quickly. These are fringe areas granted. Farmer across the road did it recently as well. They have picked up a lot of rented land the past couple of years and had to upgrade equipment so likely needed to free up cash to fund the expansion as well as facilitate generational transfer. | |
