Subject: ENSO update. Region 3.4 rises above La Nina trigger.

It's been a VERY SLOW march towards improvement.. Not sure what the link would be between La Nina triggers and the expected weather this summer.. in the US Southern Plains we need moisture.. a La Nina has blocked this (I assume..??) shunting moisture north.. but now this is breaking down.

As we find improvement in some of the measurements including the Region 3.4 which this week rose above the threshold of -0.5 to -0.4.

Are we FINALLY seeing this sucker break down.. or is it just a pause..???

I'll take any good news we can get.. we had a good drink about a month ago.. but we are dry again.. so we NEED this weekend's forecasted rains.. maybe we'll get enough..??  For now...???

This whole event has trended colder and La Nina'ish for over a year.. It's good to see improvement.. but that does NOT mean we are out of the woods.. but it is good to see..

fingers crossed.
