Did it last summer, boots a good camera are a must. On Canada portion make reservations, it is desolate as in nothing there, very beautiful just remote like nothing you have ever seen. If you want to get out and explore figure on 3 days driving on Canadian portion. Most everything is mom and pop as there are not enough people to attract many chain businesses.

On us side go to paradise mi White fish point just north of there and you can hit Edmund Fitzgerald display. Copper harbor is a cool stop isle royal ferry is there. Coppemine south of calumet has a cool tour. Cornucopia wiconson has a very old general store that has not been touched for a hundred years. O ya drink some widow maker when you are in the up. Lake in the clouds in porcupine park is good. Lake gogebic is nice, hoot n holler at north end of lake is always fun. In Duluth mn is the Richard bong museum if you like history they have a fully restored p-38. Just down the street there is a old mansion that gives tours. Taconite harbor is worth looking at. Lots of iron range leftovers from the past too look at. E mail is good
