And I still say the farmers here on NAT were off way farther on their crop guesses than ratings were. If farmers cannot look in their own fields and determine with 10-15bpa what their corn is going to make then why look at crop ratings and expect them to guess it to that gnats **s? Plenty on here last fall guessing their corn at 180-200 ended up "pleasantly surprise" with 240. Remember how I about got laughed off of here by the guys from central and northern IL for saying our state would yield 190? And I was almost 10bpa too low! In my own local area several guys "expecting 100-120bpa corn" and ended up with 170. So as bad as the crop ratings were i still say farmers ratings were even farther off because of their pessimistic bias.
