| Quoting from an Ontario farm magazine: "methane digesters have a reputation as a facility where a million dollars can been spent to build it only to have it all torn down in the end". After the government construction subsidy runs out, from an engineering and/or economic standpoint, it never flies.
However, digesters are somewhat common in Germany, with companies offering "turnkey" solutions.
