Highly doubt that the gray You saw is a field drying out. My yard had some gray gravel spots today--- they were frozen-- and a couple hours later they were soft and mushy. The frost is deep and has not even begun to thaw.

Can't see My fields-- they are covered with a foot of snow yet. But there is hope, some ditches are finally running some water, so there must be some water running under the snow.

Once the snow melts, there will be at least 2 weeks until dry enough, even where it is tiled. Frozen tile won't move much water.
