Central SD | I'm not sure on the sorghum. I know it wasn't anything special because we got it for free through Pheasants Forever. We planted it on alfalfa ground we killed. We fertilized it and it had a really good stand. That amount of bales per acre probably won't happen again. It took all of 10 days to dry down and still had some kinda squishy bales. Might of dried down faster with we would of spread out the windrow more though the discbine. I know guys that chop it say they get close to 19%protein. That might be a good route to take. | |
