That's great and I hope the things you claim are true.
There are plenty of "wheeler and dealer" types in agriculture who would make perfect lobbyists for our causes, but whether it is they or wonks who represent us I don't know. Wonks do not make good headway, knowledgeable as they might be about an issue. The gregarious types are usually working for themselves, but maybe we have some benevolent ones who are working for the good of us all.
