I would ask them to make the data set available so that anyone could make their own analysis and come to their own conclusions.
In these days of modern desktop computers, it is perfectly feasible to do your own independent analysis.
I bet you'll discover that there are some assumptions in their analysis that if questioned would result in very different outcomes.
