southern MN | I'm not quite sure what type of connection you need, a USB cable might be easiest for this but you mention a wireless might be needed?
For very infrequent use I would suggest a laser printer. The ink Jets will either dry out or bleed themselves to death by clearing their Jets every couple days.
It would sound like a cheap black and white laser would fit the bill.
I really, really like Brother these days, but you can look at other brands too.

I thought the cheap ones would support XP still, but online they aren't offering much info, I would look st the boxes at the store, if you are getting to a Walmart or Best bUy or etc.
