North Central MO
"That freeplay seems a little high ..."

I thought the same thing, I started about where you suggest (.3) and increased from there trying to improve performance. If you are at 11-12 on angle turn maybe I need to try lowering that setting... have not been that low yet. After running this on another tractor this spring planting I feel confident I am engaging at the proper position relative to the line ... don't think that's the problem. I do have the antenna on a mount that places it about 10" front of the cab. Did that because of other applications for the Cat that wont allow it to be forward on hood but might have to try it there yet, would rather leave it where I have it... pretty well protected there and good horizon view.

"Grabbing the wheel to get it on the line faster will disengage the motor..... "

I have never got this feature to work on my system, have lowered the manual overide setting to lowest and still it does not drop out when you grab the wheel ... anybody else seen this?

aussicane, looks like a good thread, will keep me up reading for a bit tonight.

Thanks all for the thoughts ...
