I have one of the hockey puck looking Garmin gps speed sensors on the shelf. Was used on a Raven 440 controller. (3 pin connector)

A friend needs one for his Dickey John planter monitor. (4 pin)

Does anyone know if an adapter can be had to make that work? I am kind of assuming he needs one specifically for a Dickey John.

Yes, these adapters are available to convert the 3 pin 440 style connection with outside power to a 4 pin AMP connector for the planter monitor. Fortunately the wiring pattern for them is standardized. It will use 3 or 4 pins. Some planter monitors watch for 12V returning to decide if a radar gun is present some do not. This means that the adapter should have all four pins used to be on the safe side. Some planter monitors only have 3 wires but the fourth pin doesn't hurt anything.

When I worked as a tech we made adapters to go both ways and even some Tees so the hockey puck could feed both a Raven and a planter monitor at the same time. Ag Express and others have these.
