NW Iowa | In April of 73 a surprise snow storm went through central Iowa that buried a few tractors. I live in northwest Iowa but I was snowed in in Cedar Falls and couldn’t get home for a couple of days because of the storm. On my way home I saw a couple of cabless tractors sitting at the edge of a field by a windbreak, completely buried in snow. There was a steering wheel and muffler sticking out of the snow. Judging by the muffler one was a 4020, don’t know what the other one was. They had been working in the field before the snow and it probably was awhile before they got back to it. We didn’t get much at home though. | |
