| Hi guys. I asked earlier about my 6 row 7000 planter drive chain springs stretching. You guys mentioned that I should jack it up and check the clutch dogs. They are all the correct direction and all click when I turn each tire backwards. I’m a small farmer and a top drive is out for this year. Is there anything else that could be causing it? Everything was new on the planter last year. It seemed like once I noticed it. The left inside chain started jumping off. The chains seemed really loose when in the down position. I figured it was because the springs were stretched. Seemed like it jumped off when I raised up and turned around and then lowered the planter to plant. Is it possible to stretch the springs if I didn’t have the planter all the way up and backed up? I put a couple pictures of the chain tensioner. Do I have that right? The chains didn’t jump off until the springs were stretched. I appreciate your help.
