Croswell, Michigan | Accidentally posted this on Machinery talk but I'll ask here as well.
We have just a small cow herd that is more of a hobby than anything. My vet preg checked cows in January using ultrasound. Past few years we have had 100% conception, this year we had a few open and a heifer he wanted to abort because he thought she had a problem pregnancy. I figured I would pen these cows up, feed them hard for 60 days and sell them. A few were on the thin side and I thought I might hit a better market in the spring. They are on full feed now. I think this one cow is making a bag. Bull was put in with the cows July 15. What do you guys think? If she is bred just pull her off full feed cold turkey? What would feeding her hard do to calf size?
