southern MN
I'm on an open ditch, but I have 10-12 miles above me, around 10,000 acres I believe. I'm the second to last farm before it becomes a natural creek.

I can very much sympathize with waiting for the uphill stuff to all drain out before my tile really start working.

I've oversized my mains a bit, or at least didn't cheat smaller..... Hopefully my tile can work for that first 36 hours before the big swig of water comes down the ditch and fills it full, at least I can get the surface water and a tiny bit of lateral drainage before everything slows down for me for a week.

It must be nice in the middle of a watershed somewhere? :) top they never went far enough and big enough, bottom they swamp out by overfilling what is there. Has to be a sweet spot in the middle of a watershed?!?!
