ehoff - 3/23/2018 06:45 How does anyone know their tissue tests are good? No one has ever calibrated what tissue test levels are necessary for 220, 250, 300 bushel corn or high yielding beans above 75?

I don't know that anyone has ever done any studies by yield thresholds in relation to tissue tests Eddie.

While tissue sampling is more reliable than soil tests, especially on micronutrients, I'm sure it is not an absolute.

I look at it this way. Most Drs. know that high blood pressure is not good for "general" overall health. So, for most people it will be a detrimental effect when looking at the woods vs the tree. But....that may not be the case for you , "the tree", as an individual. You may get along perfectly fine with higher BP.

Here is a good primer on tissue analysis: https://www.extension.purdue.edu/extmedia/nch/nch-46.html
