Subject: 20/20 Advanced Swath

SE Minnesota
Just upgraded to RTK signal on my gps for this year and am wondering if anyone using advanced swath to plant the headlands last? If you have how did it work? Did you use actual measurements or did you give it an extra foot? I would be planting with a 30' planter and plant three sets of headlands. I'm thinking about trying it on a couple fields this spring to see how well it works. I have a rawson strip till cart with the planter attached so if I could plant the headlands last I wouldn't have to worry about lifting my strip till bar up as soon without damaging planted corn, I may waste a little N this way but I would make sure I didn't have any skips in my N which I have seen in the past.
