NC Iowa | Not to bore everyone I thought I’d tell the whole story about getting my phantom 4 back in the air. Had I updated the DJI app first all would have worked fine. I tried to update firmware first forgetting about the app. That’s not the way to do it. App first. Firmware second. I kept trying to fly in between all the mess. One flight ended in a disaster. I used auto takeoff. Once in the air the drone took a uncontrollable hard right and crashed onto a blacktop we live on. All that happened was the battery popped out. No other damage. First crash in 2 years of ownership. Posted here and searched internet for answers when I was reminded of app update. Hopefully I remember this experience and the next time it’s a simple fix. Hope this helps anyone else who shelved their drone over the winter | |
