NW IL, Mercer County | Bought a 2016 6.7 diesel ford last Monday. This dealer was mainly cars but had half dozen used trucks. I asked the salesman to make sure the tank was full since I came from 200 mi to buy it. I didnt pay attention when I test drove to see where the fuel level was. Anyway, I got on the road and it was only at 3/4, but I dont know if they did put any fuel in it since I didnt look before.
So fasf forward 150 miles and my check engine light comes on. Local ford dealer scanned codes and it came back as low fuel pressure and a couple injector codes. They replaced the fuel pump last wednesday. Fast forward to yesterday, and check engine light comes on again and the engine is knocking similar to last week. Im taking it in again to get checked out.
I have put 500 miles on it is all, could this be that someone from the purchasing dealership, that doesnt deal with diesels, put gas in? I’m sure its quite possible but does this sound like issues related to running gas in the tank? | |
