What will happen is what’s already happening when it comes to raising seed beans for the big M. Starting this year you have to have a subscription to climate fieldview if you want to plant them. I think this how companies will weed out the small guy by making products like this requirement to plant their hybrids. Look you already sign a agreement to plant their hybrids. The days of buying mechanical drive stuff is gone look at Kinze they were great because all they focused on was mechanical finger pickup but they are starting to do electric hydraulic drive etc. I know you can still get finger pickup but you have to order it that way with certain models.

Beg to differ there IH and maybe my age is showing, but if that is the future I predict a lot of bin run or nongmo beans. Monsanto will not control my business that way. As far as the mechanical fingers, it is still possible to farm with them with better than 97-98% accuracy. Question becomes is 99+% accuracy worth the extra cost and extra hassles of adding all the new technology. Again, not in my operation. Farmers by their nature are independent, especially when it comes to monsanto.
