Subject: Corner posts

Clay county, MN
Hopefully it warms up soon so I can get a good start fencing before all hell breaks loose in the field. Looking for opinions on corner posts. Looking at oil well pipe vs railroad ties. Cost looks to be about the same looking at ads. We did have new ties put in on our local track so could probably get them cheaper if I knew who to contact. Leaning towards the pipe right now just because it seems it would be easier to work with. Can you get by with just driving it into the ground? No need to dig holes or pour concrete? Advantage of the tie would seem to be more surface area for resistance, but they also seem to start leaning after a few years. What have your experiences been?
