I think a lot of the future high tech new stuff/ new ways is taylored to metro areas, and will leave rural areas farther and farther outside of that new loop. High density living, short distances. Just even basic internet connections are going to that with the 5g and beyond wireless access.
Perhaps I will actually enjoy being somewhat left behind!
Drones have huge potential in data gathering and inspection areas of Ag. But I assume your paper is on something not so conventional and looking at a different aspect, which is cool. I would certainly use drone delivery if it was a common way to get stuff to me, I have no problem with it. If we can dream beyond how we currently believe things work, perhaps they can deliver repair parts directly to the machine broken out in the field, saving time of driving from home base to a far flung field after the ups truck brings it to the farm yard.
