Will a 146 loader off a 2155 deere utility tractor fit a 3010? Or do I need a 148?

Not really answering your question, but if you don't already have a loader, a 46A loader fits my 3010.

Im no loader expert, but I would say that a 146 is much better suited for a 3010, than a 148 would be

Thanks for the help. The front spindles aren't heavy enough to pick up round bales on that 2155. Broke two already at $160/piece. Time to move on to something else. Lol

The 146 loader was designed for 4 cylinder utility tractors ( 2020, 2030, 2440, 2630 etc) with straight front axles. Too much loader for 3 cylinder tractors with swept back front axles. 148 loader has similar capacity as the 146 but is designed for row crop tractors. With a torch and welder any thing is possible.

The difference between a 146 and a 148 is the size of the lift cylinders. They use the same masts and boom. You will have to use 148 row crop mounts to mount the 146 on a row crop tractor. I have had them side by side and the only difference was the diameter of the lift cylinders.

Edit to add:
I know a guy that has sells row crop mounts for $700.

All he needs is row crop mounts. The 146 and the 148 use all the same structural components they the same part numbers from John Deere

Yea, I know. I just always like to throw the "torch and welder" idea in on the "will it fit" posts.

We have a 148 on one 3020, and a 146 on the other. I used to have a spec sheet, but the 148 is much longer than the 146, that is why we put it on that tractor.

Loader boom for 148 is AW16048 and masts are AW16036
Loader boom for 146 is AW16048 and masts are AW16036

Since they are the same part numbers, they are the same length. You are confusing the 148 with the 158.

The 146 had smaller cylinders and is for the smaller utility tractors. The brackets for the 146 attached are either mid mount or rear attach and are not connected to each other. The 148 mounts wrap around the front the tractor and are tied together under the tractor; the higher capacity of the 148 necessitated this to prevent damage to the frame rails of the tractor.

A 146 will mount on the 148 row crop mounts. We have a 146 that goes on a 2750 in the winter for cleaning snow and is used on a 2520 (with 148 row crop mounts) in the summer for scraping cattle yards (it is easier to get on and off the 2520 scraping yards and is warmer in the 2750 in the winter).

Edit to add:
The first screen shot is from 146 parts catalog and the second is 148/158/168 parts catalog. You can look it up yourself to double check. It is a fact they use same masts and boom with different sized cylinders. The only difference is lift capacity due to different cylinder sizes.

This is my first time on asking for help on here. It's great! Thanks for all the feedback. Really appreciate it. Too bad the rest of the world couldn't be as helpful and selfless as the great Americans that are on here
